Solicitor?

Options
I'm just looking for some advice please.

We are applying to remortgage to a different lender. Do we need to instruct a solicitor?

You'll require a solicitor. Select one from your new lenders panel list. Remember to obtain quotes before appointing.

Thrugelmir thankyou for your quick reply .

We have a mortage advisor and he never mentioned that we would need a solicitor.

We have received forms to fill in from a solicitor instructed by Nat West. My husband said we sont need a solicitor but the forms advise to have a solicitor check them.

Your lender needs a solicitor. They've already got one. You shouldn't normally need to get independent legal advice for a remortgage.

What exactly are the forms and what do they say?

Unless the legal costs are covered by your lender. You'll have additional costs to bear.
  • Sounds like you’ve got free legals with your remortgage with Nat West.

They should be able to handle everything, might be a bit slow but should get there in the end.
