I was wondering if any one can help me with ideas for presents for my niece and nephew, Niece is 17 (18 in Jan) and Nephew is 15.
i was made redundant from work earlier in the year and my redundancy money was spent moving in with my OH.
Both are into their designer gear but i simply can't afford to splash out this year. i usually spend about £20 but i'm looking to half that but i havent got a clue what i'll buy (my nephew is a bit of a spoilt child) but my niece is more of an "it's the thought that counts" type

I would have thought both of them were old enough to explain the situation to them and tell them you will make up for it at a later date.At that age do they really need anything anyway?:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0

my sister in law can be a bit funny in that area, she doesn't mind if we don't get her and my brother as long as we get something for the kids!:starmod:If you dance with the devil, the devil don't change. The devil changes you:starmod:0

PM if your interested and I will give you the user name!I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes

blokes are quite easy to buy for tbh, i spotted lynx gift sets cheap in wilkinsons the other week, they do one for about a fiver with the lynx aftershave in it, nearly bought some for myself cos i use the lynx shower stuff anyway and thats £2-odd (and i love buying aftershaves i've got loads of them).things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then

Not sure about boy gifts but can recommend Lush for a pressy for your niece-you won't even have to spend £10 as you could buy a couple of bubble bars or a bathbomb for £5ish and wrap in some tissue & ribbon.
Or how about some ted baker or fcuk toiletries from boots- designer names but not expensive if you combine with the xmas 342 offers or buy the mini sized bottles. They even do giftsets for less than a tenner.hthLove can tame the wildest0 -

So you're advocating buying fake goods are you?.....0 -
I've had the same problem this year and for the teenage girls I bought a selection of beauty stuff and smellies from the pound shops and wrapped it in tissue, also from the pound shop, and put it all into gift bags - it looks a lot more expensive than it was and cost about a fiver0
