any idea why they havent paid this time or are instructing solicitors

Ring them ASAP. No one on here is going to know your precise circumstances.0

We’ve a tenant like you in my building, and it’s a nightmare. They refuse to pay their service charge, we take it to court, win, then the mortgage company pays to avoid losing the security on their loan. It’s an annoying, expensive, drawn-out process for which we are never able to recover our costs.
If you cannot pay then you will very possibly lose your home, and ought to be considering selling it before that happens.
The next step is that you must get proper legal advice.0 -

You probably have broken the t&c's of your mortgage. As an one off or possibly twice they would have paid to avoid losing their security. Relying on them to do it each year, and therefore increase your loan without any re-assessment of affordability is clearly a breach.
Basically you are trying to increase your mortgage size by the back door and they are not having it.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Either I am seriously misunderstanding this post, or it's a complete windup
Are you saying you intentionally make people spend their time and money chasing you for funds that you said you would pay when you bought the place, but now you just ignore it until the lender pays it?? Surely I'm missing something here?0
