Hi
I have one instalment left to pay on my loan. I put in complaint in Aug which was upheld and they agreed to waive the money off my balance leaving a small amount to pay. I’ve emails from before they went into administration that it would be applied to my account within 24-48. Of course this wasn’t done and then the company went bust. No contact from them regarding my refund to my account after the 24-48 hr deadline on 17/10. I’ve rang them today to pay my balance after the refund is off and they want the full amount. When I queried why the balance wasn’t adjusted before they went bust they have no answers. Said they were only aware on Friday of administration and couldn’t tell me why my account is still showing full amount. I’ve cancelled my dd with them because I don’t want to pay the full amount when they have told me it would have been applied to my account and obviously wasn’t done because they knew before Friday they were going bust. What is the right thing for me to do? I don’t want to end up not paying but I’m angry and don’t want to pay the full amount.

No, that was the wrong thing to do.
Make the payment and argue it afterwards.0 -

The best rule to adhere to in situations like this is no offsetting. It's a very difficult position to argue/justify.The views expressed here are my own.
