Hi all, i am currently in the nationwide mortgage application process..
Application submitted: Friday 26th October
I submitted my application through the nationwide mortgage advisor in branch, so hopefully they won't request more docs!
I bought a homebuyer report for them to do inline with valuation but wondering if this will make the process longer? I have not yet recieved any message about the valuation being booked and despite it being a weekend gone i am so anxious about this all (first time buyer)
Wondering if anyone could share their experience with nationwide morgage application with me? Would be grateful, i am sat here feeling on edge not knowing anything! How long?!
Thankyou in advance!!

Relax. You are at the beginning of what could be a long drawn out house buying process. Valuations aren't going to be booked with third parties on non working days.0 -

I started the Nationwide process last week through an independent mortgage advisor. Not completely straightforward, had just started a new job and combining 2 incomes.
Monday - Full application submitted, valuation booked for Tuesday.
Tuesday - Valuation completed inc homebuyers report, request for extra document (returned same day)
Wednesday - Received copy of the Homebuyers report
Thursday - Mortgage offer received
Homebuyers report shouldn't slow it down and they can be very quick if there are no complications. Good Luck! 4 days was stressful enough and I know that's nothing compared to some people's waits.0 -

Relax, the estate agents just want to see you are progressing
If you can show the application is in progress and keep them updated with prompt updates and ongoing communication it will be fine0 -
The only advice is not to worry

I know it's difficult.
Sometimes it takes longer than usual just because...
My remortgage took a bit longer, however it was very straightforward.
It should have taken 4 weeks from the offer to completion, in my case it was 5.5 weeks.
My timeline from mortgage application to completion was from 10 Sept. to 29 Oct.
I know you are buying and I have a remortgage, there are differences. I wrote here just to show my time length and to say it was 1.5 weeks longer with no reason. It just happens.0 -
Nationwide are pretty quick if you have a straightforward case. Ours was application to offer in 6 days.0
