Delayed when travelling on a Delay Repay ticket

My train with Northern was cancelled which meant I was delayed for 2 hours+. This would usually mean "Compensation of two return tickets anywhere on the Northern network". However, ironically I was actually travelling using a Northern Delay Repay compensation ticket (they have lots of cancelled trains!) - so would I still be entitled to the above? Essentially I have not 'bought' a ticket but I have still been severely inconvenienced by their cancellation/delay.

I'd have thought same rules would apply - whatever the source of the ticket.
(We don't get tickets as compensation in SE - just small amounts of money)I need to think of something new here...0 -
Thank you. Yeah, I think I'm going to submit the claim anyway. Northern offers either a partial/full refund depending on the length of delay or free ticket(s). We still have to put up with their shoddy service though so not much of a benefit...!0

I believe on the Northern delay repay form there is an option for the freebie tickets, although you will most likely only get more freebie tickets as you can't really get money back when the ticket cost is £0.0

There's no problem when you've been using the complimentary tickets. You'll see that as one of the options for ticket-type. They still send more if you were delayed by more than 30 minutes.
The only problem I had was when a train was exactly 30 minutes late. They keep refusing my claim, saying it was 29 minutes late. Does anyone know if they take quarter-minutes into account?0 -
Yes you can get another compensation ticket
