You have 16 days from the date of judgment to object to the order made. You need to object in writing to the court that sent the order - this will be in the top right hand corner and the courts address across the bottom of the form. Automatic transfer rules will then apply and the case will be transferred to your local County Court.
If you are outside the 16 days, then you can apply to vary the judgment using Form N245 (available from the link below) - this requires a court fee of £35.00
If you dispute the judgment totally, then you can apply to have the judgment set aside using Form N244 (from the 2nd link) - there is a court fee of £75.00 for this.
If you are in receipt of any benefits or a low income, you may be eligible for remission of the court fee (see the 3rd link for more info).
Hope this helps x x

As you will have seen your post caused quite a bit of discussion! Despite ths I hope you will still post and come for support on the boards. People are very passinate about becoming debt free & the journey along the way so things can get heated. Plus only recently there was HUGE discussion of epic proprtions that got quite nasty that discussed this issue so possibly why people are quite touchy abut it, although you wouldnt have known that!!
Did you manage to get the forms etc that people suggested! Keep posting, despite what you think people do careNerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Hi,
OK so have just been to hearing at local court and unfortunately the judge has finalised an interim charging order despite my having negative equity and larger unsecured creditors!! Can I appeal?0 -
You can appeal a District Judges order but it is expensive and if you dont win you will be liable for more costs - what did the judge say today? x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Did this CCJ come from 'Northampton County Court'? If so, that is the 'fast-track' County Court, favoured by most creditors, and it is likely that your case was reviewed out of the actual courtroom with the final reccomendation 'rubber stamped' by, or on behalf of, the actual judge.
You CAN appeal the CCJ - and ask that the appeal be moved to a local court. You can, usually, get good advice from your local County Court office.
The 'solicitors' fees seem extremely high.
Thanks for that info rog2, both my CCJ's came from Northampton and both judgements were unrealistically high.
I didn't appeal in time but am going to now and will post the results.
Must think up a signature!!0
