Will it matter which I apply for first?
Options
I'm planning to borrow £12,000 to fund home improvements. I think I can get around £4,000 on a 0% credit card though, so I'll need a loan of £8,000.
If I apply for one first, will it affect the chances of getting the other, and will it make any difference which one I apply for first?

Apply for the card first, so that you know the credit limit of your 0% APR promotional window...I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

You can't be certain of getting exactly the credit limit you need on a CC so I would apply for a loan of £12k if I was you, if you have a good credit history and not too much outstanding finance you should get the 12k at a decent rate.0

Apply for the credit card first. See what credit limit you get. Then apply for the loan.
You should of course be aware that by making two applications in quick succession you could prejudice the outcome of the second application.0
