Have an earring made

I know this sounds silly but I have lost an earring and I am devastated. I have had these earrings for around 20 years and they were a gift from my parents. I have turned my home upside down looking for it but to no avail so I would like to have a replacement made to match the one remaining earring. They are made from 18ct gold with a tiny diamond in them. What's the most MSE way to have one made?
I know there are jewellers who take commissions near me but I expect this to an expensive way to go about it.

MSE way would be to put the remaining one away and keep it as a memory.
You could always scour eBay and pawn shops for the same one, but you will always know it wasn't the original.
The only other way is to commission one, and get it priced up by several places, again you will always know it wasn't the original.
Have you put a stocking or rights over the vacuum hose and gone over the house?Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
'Very upset' I can understand ... but why are people always 'devastated' by things these days?
Instead of having a replacement earring made, have you thought about turning the remaining one into a pendant, which would be both cheaper and probably truer to the memory of your parents' original gift to you?0 -

I think the earrings were specially made for me so I'd be very lucky to find a matching one. I did eventually find the missing earring, after I had emptied the contents of the vacuum and searched through it, sitting underneath a bag.
I suppose you're right that I'd always know one wasn't the original so I'd better try not to lose one again!0 -

I realise that logically it's "just" and earring and it's not necessarily rational to feel devastated, and I was devastated rather than just very upset. I genuinely felt sick to my stomach and slept terribly having some really crazy dreams about the missing earring and then that I'd lost another special piece of jewellery. I suppose it's because I know how many hours my parents would have had to work in order to be able to afford them and that I'm generally good at not losing things in the first place.0
