Free Eye Tests - Should You Trust Them

You can get a free eye test any way if you just say the magic words. " people in my family have a history of glaucoma" no check will be done!
But to use these 'magic words' when it doesn't apply is fraud and stealing from the public purse.Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

I have found Free eye tests accurate. As I rechecked the numbers again with the doctor and he suggested the same number as that of my free eye test.0

First of all they have to be immediate (first degree) relatives, secondly they take the name and date of birth of the relative.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Next time you have a sight test, read the wording just below where you sign the NHS form - you can be prosecuted for making a fraudulent claim.
The Opticians usually can't check if you have a direct relative with glaucoma, but the form is submitted to the NHS who do spot checks on a percentage of forms.
Probably shouldn't be encouraging people to commit fraud!0
