Hi.
My husband works in Slough area 4days/week. And we thinking to buy house in Derby. I am job less. Can he get mortage to buy house for me to live. And he wants to keep his job in Slough and During his work days he will stay at his friends house in slough.
As he not need to pay rent there, and his salary is enough to get mortage.
Will it be any issue to buy house in different city.
Thank you.

Although not the scenario that every lende would accept there are ones who would consider. I have arranged a mortgage for some one recently where the peson lives in Nottinghamshire but commutes daily to London.0

Would it not cause an issue with his friend?
Most people are more than happy to have visitors and friends staying over occasionally, but if I was paying all the bills for a house and then someone planned to turn up and live there rent free for around 4 days a week constantly then I think I’d pretty soon get fed up with them and the whole arrangement0 -
The only way this would be stable would be if he paid cash for lodgings or his mate would start to feel he's being taken advantage of, and his welcome would wear very thin. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
