    No it doesn't it means that the applicant does not meet the bank's criteria for the loan using data within the bank and using the CRA's.

    Look at the post'' WE'' phoned the bank so we have to assume the applicant agreed (verbally) for the mother to look at stuff.

    It doesn't say that at all, it actually says
    My moms friend works for Lloyds so we gave her a call..
    which suggests to me that unless her friend happens to work in exactly the right department then this is a breach. Even if she does work in the right department it's unlikely she is the OPs case handler so I'd like to know what comment she added to the file to justify accessing it.

    But as I said in my earlier post, this all sounds like BS to me.
