    You are over talking this and getting into discussion/arguments.

    It's a second job play by your rules of availability accept they may just not give you work.

    By bending over and accepting those shift the impression you set was you are a walkover.

    Sounds like they may just need you as much as you need the money but if one of the chains they have some real idiots in their middle management at some pubs.

    What sort of contract have they given you?

    Many supermarkets are looking for part-time evening / weekend staff, at least you get fixed shifts with the option of other shifts as overtime, plus after 6 months you generally get a staff discount card.

    I used to do two evenings and one weekend shift, til I took on extra shifts as permanent to my role instead of doing it as OT.
    Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear it in 2026.

    OP stick to your guns, if you keep on doing the saturdays she will keep on putting you down for them, if it were me I would have left when she said she was on holiday.
