This reminds me of the time when I bought some pencils in woolies for my class and took them to the till. The assistant gave some comment about the number of pencils I bought and I just said "They are for my children". She just looked at me as if I had had a very busy life so far producing that many children!!
BTW I added a mini choccie bar and some stickers with it and wrapped them up seperately.....I must have had time on my hands in those days.....Praying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!

I love to get my class some nice things but to get 30 nice things works out expensive. I think I will be heading for Tescos as they have their party bag gifts section. They sell things for something like 6 for £2 and other slightly more expensive things too. They make great pressies throughout the year too for awarding to the children when they have done something well.
Another nice thing to do is to make bookmarks for every child. Our school photographer always leaves a set of the photos he has taken. The photos are about 1 inch square and are great for bookmarks. I always add something about the child underneath too and then laminate them. The children love it and it is really personal. My second favorite household chore is ironing. .... for the great ideas. I'll take a look a little later
I saw a good idea on Ebay - some woman was filling christmas cups and then cellophane wrapping them so i have 'borrowed' that idea.
Bought some cheap christmassy paper cups from Poundland & some stickers from there too. Gonna make up little ' gift cups' and add a few chocs and a ribbon x x0 -
my little girls teacher made bookmarks, they said Little Angels love to read, she was thrilledNo Links in Signatures by Site Rules - MSE Forum Team 20

for my lil mans birthday party he invited 30 ( great!) i went to poundalnd and bought rubbers ,pencils and those flying bird/plane things out of foam. they all came in packs of 12 .i then bought harry potter keyrings (think they came in a row of 12 or 15) from the same place. Worked out dead cheap. Poundland is the one to check out.0

My kids last school used to give a pressie for each child at about £1-£1.50/head from the PTA until they decided they simply couldn't get that much for their money. Thus they chose instead to give a whole class about £30-£40 worth of something which would remain within the class eg board games to play when stuck inside on rainy lunchtimes, computer games for older ones etc. Best bit was when this years primary3 became next years primary 4, the new P3 inherited the board games and thenwe P4 inherited the computer games!
Another gift from a teacher at their present school was a charity gift where she bought, on behalf of the class, some livestock for a third world country then told them all about it!0
