Please can someone explain what the icons mean in the two columns to the left of the threads?

If you scroll down the main comp page to just below the display options, there's an explanation of the first column - hot post/new threads etc.
The second column doesn't really mean much, except that some posters will post with the yellow warning/exclamation mark if the competition only has a short time from being posted to when it closes
