They are called roof boxes, it isnt just a case of buying a roof box you also need to buy the roof bars that fit your car.
You could try a request on your local freecycle group you should be able to get a box but getting the correct roof bars may require buying them. not all cars are the same.
Ohh and they are not cheap especially for a good quality one.0
