Just thought Id give a mention that Tesco are now doing 25% off all christmas trees and lights. Argos is also currently running the same promo but it makes tesco cheaper than argos. I know cos I bought these from Argos

then came home and looked on net to see Tescos offer and was not a happy bunny.

So if you're planning on getting any new lights or trees I'd check both sites first. BTW I think Argos finishes on Tues(27th) and Tesco on Sun(2nd). Hope it helps some.

Argos are not cheap shop anyhow, must items can be sourced cheaper in other places. Argos just tends to be a convienant store most things under one roof.

I know they're not in stock at the mo, but had a look in my local extra today and they are. I also know that Argos are not the cheapest shop always, but when looking for these lights they were, until I saw Tesco. Grrr. Anyway my main post was that Tesco have 25% off trees and lights to anyone who is looking at getting them, worth a look to compare.
Also noticed stphnstevey, yes you can use sim card trick for free delivery, but it's also instore too so if you can get to one, better to look instore IMO.

If you make an order on tesco direct and haven't met the spend to get free delivery if you put a tesco value sim card £3.47 (i think) in your basket then you get free delivery. Also works with many other sim cards too(listed on tesco.com). You can then take the sim card back for a refund or use the credit up or whatever you want.

hope these lights aren't the same as last years as the ones I bought from Tescos last year got recalled... and just as I had put them on the tree! :mad:
