Ok so this isn't exactly a bargain/grabbit but where else should it go on the boards..?!
CEX.com (& therefore their stores) are currently offering to buy DDR2 for more than you can actually buy it for in lots of places, see CeX.co.uk
I bought some 1Gb sticks recently from Scan for £10.99 each & CEX will buy them from you for £16 cash. Alternatively they will give you £21 in-store credit for each stick, now we're talking!!
Also they are buying 1Gb sticks of PC4200/4300 for the same price, a really quick & not-at-all-thorough Google sees Scan doing 1Gb sticks of PC5300 for £14.09 Linky meaning you'd make £1.91 profit per stick, not a lot but if you're ordering any hardware anyway it could be worth picking some extra up!
I'm sure you lot can find some cheap value RAM somewhere to boost the profits!

READ THIS: CeX.co.uk FAQ
Main points to note:
- I suggest you do this in store instead of posting them in, makes it less likely anything will go wrong!
- You do this off your own backs, don't blame me if it doesn't go well!
- CEX prices change, don't blame me if they drop the price they pay before you can take the RAM in!
- CEX only take upto 9 units of each item, if you sell more than that they drop the price (AFAIK) as they class it as 'Trade' They may also reduce the price if you sell any multiple but I guess thats upto the shop & surely you could take them in on different days?
- You need ID to get cash, you can accept in-store credit without it.

I've sold two mobile phones to CEX, the first years ago and the second recently when I thought the company might have improved, and found in both cases that they took ages to pay up, and only did so after a lot of chasing on the telephone.
Also, in each case they paid less than what seemed correct according to their grading of the telephone. In the second case, I sent them a brand new Nokia 1112 (sold unused on the day of purchase because I only wanted the Virgin 200 mins pack), and they paid £6 (grade C) instead of the £12 due for a grade A phone.
When I complained, they sent me a £3 cheque (as goodwill!)
Take care before dealing with Cex!0 -

I agree - Cex delay payment for as long as possible for an item sent in, and when pushed hard enough, eventually pay less than the fair price.
Taking the item to one of their shops is also a waste of time, as they only offer a credit note, again for less than the fair price, so you find it's not worth selling to them anyway.0 -
I sold my Wii at a Cex store yesterday for £221. I was more than happy, they will never sell them for the £295 they expect - surely  . I can't understand how firms like this don't go bust.March prizes: 6 x Crufts tickets, tickets to Wham live! Heck naked sausages, DVD :D:D0

Well they're obviously making money somehow. Every time I've been in there the prices for second hand have been worse than new or about the same, so I tend not to bother going in anymore.0
