where to find party oufits

I am going to a xmas party with a casnio theme so i need to have an evening dress I haven't found anything yet and it only 2 weeks away :eek: i am on a tight buget so i thought it would be a good idea for us all to list where, what you got/seen and the price of your bargains to help myself and others get the perfect outfit.

  • How much were you willing to spend? Have you thought about customising a dress you already have? Like dying it a different color, adding a sash or belt etc. Just getting a dress taken in properly by a tailor can make a big difference.
    Without knowing your size, I would say maybe try wallis? Surprisingly, Marks and spencer also has some nice evening wear.

    What about either Ebay or a local charity shop. I've had some lovely outfits from both, and often they have only been worn ince or twice before!

    T K Maxx is pretty cheap - try there. I've never been lucky enough to get one but I know plenty of people who regularly get bargains in the evening dress section.

    I always put my good clothing on ebay and have sold several evening dresses in the past. I also tend to buy them there and have managed some real bargains - the best one I think was a vintage 1930s dress for £6.00.
