New Year in New York: Terms and Conditions

[NOVEMBER & DECEMBER 2008]
RULES
The following rules ("Rules") together with GCap Media plc's ("GCap Media") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at www.mercia.co.uk; www.foxfm.co.uk; www.wyvernfm.co.uk, www.brmb.co.uk; www.beaconradiowestmids.co.uk; www.beaconshropshire.co.uk; apply to the New Year in New York competition ("the Competition") which will run from Tuesday 13th November 2007, to Wednesday 12th December 2008 (“the Duration”). The "Participating Radio Stations" are Mercia, Beacon Radio, Beacon Shropshire, BRMB, Wyvern FM, Fox FM.
By entering this Competition, anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and to be bound by them.
1. Details of the Competition
1.1 For the Duration of the Competition, listeners to the Participating Radio Station will be invited to enter the Competition for a chance to win.
1.2 To enter the competition an Entrant must log onto their Participating Station’s website and enter via the New Year in New York competition webpage.
1.3 Entrants must answer three New York related facts – with either the answer yes or no.
1.4 Entrants answering all three questions correctly go into a random draw. The draw will include entries from all the participating stations and there will be one winner. The draw will take place on Thursday 13th December.
1.5 All matters relating to the selection at random of Entrants and all other matters relating to the Competition will be at the discretion of GCap Media and the Participating Radio Station.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Any employees of or contractors engaged by GCap Media, their immediate family or any other persons directly connected with the Competition are unable to enter into the competition.
2.2 The Competition is open to residents of the UK and Northern Ireland only.
2.3 Notwithstanding that a winner has been declared, if GCap Media discovers before the delivery of a prize that for any reason under these Rules or Terms and Conditions the winner should have been ineligible to enter the Competition or the entry should have been declared invalid, GCap Media reserves the right to determine that the winner is disqualified.
2.4 GCap Media and the Participating Radio Stations shall not be responsible for any failure on behalf of an Entrant whose entry is not received by GCap Media or the Participating Radio Station.
2.5 An Entrant must participate in the Competition himself or herself. In the event that a party other than the Entrant attempts to enter the Competition on behalf of that Entrant (whether disclosed or not), that entry will be forfeited and no Prize will be delivered.
2.6 Any Entrant must possess a valid visa or have the right to travel to the USA.
3. Prize
3.1 All decisions of the GCap Media and Participating Radio Stations’ representatives will be final and binding on the Entrants and no correspondence will be entered into.
3.2 The prize is a holiday for two people to New York including:
• three nights’ hotel accommodation in New York, sharing a twin room in the chosen hotel on a room only basis The hotel will be chosen by Travelscope and allocated nearer the departure time. You will stay in one of Travelscope's hotels (Skyline on 10th Avenue, the Travel Inn on 42nd Street and the Wellington Hotel on 55th Street) in midtown Manhattan.
• the names of the two people taking the holiday to New York must be submitted to Travelscope by 20th December 2007
• return flights to New York from London Heathrow
• the departure date is 24th February 2008
• return airport transfers
• Travelscope representation in New York
3.3 A full 10 year machine readable passport is required to travel to America - no visa required for British Citizens.
3.4 If you have already booked a holiday to New York with Travelscope and win this competition - the value of your holiday will be refunded.
