Evening everyone.Stunty sounds like you had a great night :)

Sparky our paths seem to cross like ships in the night these days lol.

Shelley hope college isn't too hard.I know what it's like to take a break and have to work hard when you return!

I took the kids to the cinema today as an end of term treat. We saw Spiderwick chronicles.Rated PG so I thought it would be ok for my dd's first ever cinema trip.Maybe Horton hears a who would've been better lol.
Was a bit scary in places but dd enjoyed the trip thoroughly and can't wait to go again.
It cost me £30  so it may be a while before that happens.I put small change in the pot.
lost my way but now I'm back ! roll on 2013

  • Hey Molly, yeah it was a total blast. They came out dressed as the randy old men at the end, and I will admit I was actually crying laughing at that point. It was so funny. The cinemas not cheap these days is it?

Hi everyone and thanks for the welcome!
This is a very busy thread, isn't it? not sure about all the talk about dentists though....
I keep saving those coins and even deliberately breaking into notes when I get milk or bread, so the tin is getting heavier by the day (though I never have much in my purse!)
I was going to weigh mine but as I've been putting all sorts of silver in I won't know how much I have unless I open it - and can't do that!
Is there somewhere (website) that estimates amounts from weights of coins I wonder?

Ah.. found something which someone might find useful (after wading through lots of maths problems about coins!)
Towards the bottom of this page are the weights of different coins.

    http://www.answers.com/topic/coins-of-the-pound-sterling

Now a 2p is twice the weight of 1p, and 10p is twice the weight of 5p, but if you have a real mixture like me it doesn't really help.
