I have to confess - I opened my pot yesterday, counted the money and have bagged it up ready to bank

I was putting money in and decided to crack it open as it was so heavy - there was £102.10 in there :T

I've resealed it now, and will continue to save. The money so far is going into my high interest savings account.

wow thats great PG!! I'm going to keep mine sealed (you have you as its a paper mache piggy! but am dying to know how much is in there!! Its really heavy and full of mostly £2 coins and 50p's with the odd £1 thrown in when I feel loaded!! (not that often!) Mine will go of CC's...

wow that's a great amount!!! Good plan to put it into savings account too

As most of you are depositing £2 coins along with all other coins.I've decided to count all my jars as part of this challenge.I have my sealed "smash" tin which contains all silver coins over 5p.I've a "nutella" jar with 5ps in and at alst count there was over £14 in there.I have a "roses" jar with coppers in and another "nutella" jar with £2 coins in.Theres £88 in there so when I total up at the end of the year I will count all totals.The "smash" tin will be my surprise total as I can't see that one.I can just feel the weight and it is getting heavy :T

PG I had a dilemma a few weeks ag as it was really heavy & I did wonder whether the money would best be paying cc off now but we worked out the interest & it was pence and psychologically I felt it would be better to leave it sealed but it was close! Plus didnt want to have to make another as once youve opened it the pig is ruined!
