Hi Mollymop, I only started the spendingdiary on 1st January, so it's only showing the loose change I put in from my 4k challenge this year. I have no way of knowing how much is in Phil from December and have no intentions of opening him before next December. I've done a 'piggy bank saving' as a Christmas present for the past few years and each Christmas the complete bank gets given away, so I have a good reason not to borrow from it
I'm not one for carrying cash, so my total amount has never reached as much as £50 within a year. Don't worry, I won't actually cheat and count it
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

HelloThe bank is completely sealed, don't worry :rotfl: I have no idea how much is inside, but I do know how much change from my shopping budget goes in each week. If I didn't put this in then I wouldn't have any change at all. I thought the object of this challenge was to save in a sealed pot so we couldn't spend it, but aim to save whatever we stated at the beginning. The surprise will still be there, especially for Phil the pig when I approach him with a knife or hacksaw next 1st December

Can I join?? Got a money box that totals up how much I put in (nifty I know :P) so I can see how much I'm saving which is motivating I think! I'll just empty it and put it in another pot when it's full but keep the total up ^^ I'll just keep going although can I be naughty and go for 6 months not 12? Holiday in July :P0
