Hair systems
Hello everyone
I'm new here and the reason for me registering is to hopefully get some really good advice on who to use for a hair system
I'm in my 30s and bald ISH thinner on top and back of head since my 20s
This is all new to me and i looked at a company called total cover plus
Very expensive though and I want to know if anybody can recommend a company to me for me to get my very first hair system and if it's possible for me to clean and stick back on myself saving me money of having to keep going back and spending hundreds of pounds for hairdresser to do it for me
Thanks and any advice is very much appreciated

Sorry but what is a 'hair system' a euphemism for? A full wig, hairpiece/ toupee, temporary, semi permanent?
In ladies' hairdressing a 'hair system' is shampoo, conditioner, styling products, deep treatments all from the same brand!
Not asking to be nosy, just thinking some older gents might know a 'hair system' by a different name and miss sharing their knowledge with you.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Hi
It's quite new to myself but they look amazing
Simply – and it really is simple, despite the prevalence of so much 1990s’ marketing waffle – a hair system is constructed using human or synthetic hair hand-woven onto a particular base of material, be it lace, monofilament or the ultra-thin ‘skin’ membrane This base is then adhered to an individual’s head with their preferred method of attachment (tape or skin-friendly adhesive) and cut and blended to render it entirely undetectable. At least, that’s the objective. As with any hand-crafted product, some will be poorly made, some so-so and some outstanding.0 -

Despite how some may dress it up to make it sound like a revolutionary hair replacement procedure, "hair replacement", "hair system" etc is just another name for a hairpiece. Using hair tape to affix it to the scalp is standard for hairpieces these days.
You can get very good hairpieces for just a few hundred. If you pay more than this, then you're likely being ripped off rather than getting something superior. Avoid the (inter)national franchise chains who employ salesmen rather than specialists and who charge the !!!! out of you. Try some local companies using your local directory. They'll know their trade.0
