Apparently Boots and major supermarkets are struggling to stock them at the moment due to 'supply issues'?
Could also be that people are panic buying because of Brexit and it's caused a shortage

Boots tend to stock the expensive brands rather than generic, so perhaps it's the big brands that are in short(er) supply.0

There are none in Aldi nor Quality Save, so I was thinking similar to you until I have just been in One Below and there are loads of boxes.Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0

It may not be panic-buying but stockpiling by the government to ensure the NHS can get supplies.The comments I post are my personal opinion.
