Competitions with questions

Hi all,

I know this is going to sound very bitter and ungrateful, so apologies in advance! I obviously appreciate everyone that posts links to competitions, but for those with Questions, I wish they would say this in the main thread! There is nothing more frustrating than clicking through to a competition, and finding out there is a Q&A just before the 'submit' button, so you have to go back out to the thread and see if someone else has answered this! Its a particular pain when auto fill inst working, so spending a couple of minutes filling out the form only to discover I need to answer a question before submitting!

Even if the original post person doesn't know the answer, would be very grateful is they could at least let us know an answer is needed to a question on the form!

You're correct in saying that it sounds ungrateful because it is.


Instead of moaning about other people posting comps for your benefit, a simple solution is to right click and open in another tab (or however you do it in your browser) so you have the forum post and entry page open at the same time. No going back, just switch tabs.


Thanks to everyone who posts comps. Some of us appreciate your efforts and don't expect to be spoon-fed.

Of the ones I look at I cannot think of any that need an answer where one is either not given or help requested to find it (In many cases the answers are an obvious choice from 3 or simply contained in the competition text so it takes almost no effort to work them out yourself)

I canot believe that anyone would make such a request and you are right it is very ungrateful.

I have posted competitions on here where I haven't noticed the question. Like many competition posters I often share competitions I probably won't enter myself and may not have read every detail.
How many competitions you have posted on here recently?

If I have to search down to the next post or even look for the answer myself it's not too much harship.

I always open a new window when I click a link in the thread so I can have the thread and form viewable on screen whenever I open. Don't find it a hardship at all.

Of course you could look up the answer and post it to help others too (wouldn't hurt)
