I've received an invite to participate in this.
It came by post addressed to "The Resident(s)" and has reference numbers and passwords for up to 4 people to complete online questionnaires on https://www.uk-media-survey.com
The letter is from a company called Kantar who quote a London address. The letter, and indeed the envelope have BBC, STV (I live in Scotland), Channel 4 and Channel 5 logos on them.
It promises a £5 shopping voucher for everyone who completes the survey. Does anyone know if this is legitimate and wont end up in us receiving loads of junk mail etc.?

They run all sorts of studies including one with audience measurement from a device that goes with a TV0

It didn't recognise any of the ref nos and passwords from the letter, I tried Firefox and Chrome browsers on a Mac.0

I just received this. I completed the survey and got a £5 Amazon voucher in return, but the survey is VERY long, repetitive and tedious. After halfway I got bored and just clicked anything to keep going.I'm sure Kantar will claim that the survey results are scientific and accurate, but I'm sure there are many like me who in effect gave up and skewed the results.0

Kantar are a real company - but anyone can "borrow" someone else's real name and misuse it.
Using a password etc that they'd generated to match my home address is bad enough but the £100 promised cash reward for signing up within the month surely couldn't be paid without my having to provide yet more personal details. This pursuit of personal data seriously undermined the claim that feedback given would be "anonymous". So I found the proposition offputting and binned the letter.
The variety of reactions at The Origin Panel Reviews | Read Customer Service Reviews of theoriginpanel.uk (trustpilot.com) might be illuminating. Some of those who signed up apparently found the installers good, but others complain that promised rewards didn't turn up and others sensibly objected to letting their media habits be spied upon.
