Mortgage application with past default.

Hi all mainly just looking for reassurance, mortgage full application was put in tuesday 1st, DIP was recieved last week, we are using a broker because of low credit score and a default from 2015, so im assuming he will have picked a lender suitable for this, the mortgage is in my husbands name knly as i dont work, has anyone else been ok getting a mortgage with a past default, we have no other outstanding debt now car settled, and no loans or credit cards, the wait is killing me not knowing when we will hear back

If you trust your broker, leave it with him.
If you don't trust him, bin him and find one that you do.0 -
A 1 off default from 4 years ago I would expect most brokers to be able to place. I would be initially looking at normal rates, failing that you may pay something slightly higher but nothing too extreme.
