Hi all

Thinking of getting burglar alarm system in my house (3 bedroom semi).

How much would a basic system cost?
Any thoughts on installation by professional security company vs installation of a B&Q set by an electrician?

    A B&Q alarm won't count for anything as far as your building insurance is concerned and not all electricians are alarm experts. My spark hard-wired an Accenta panel and a few PIRs into my house refurb but in hindsight I should have just got an alarm guy in and done it properly.
