WIN !!! Tickets for Circus' Boxing Day Party

Nov 23 2007
Headlining is none other than the man who remains peerless in modern dance music, Carl Craig. The Detroit master, Craig has gone on to consistently break ground in electronic music year after year with a slew of stunning productions and remixes.
His DJ sets live up to the anticipation of his productions; space age concoctions of house, techno, disco and the spectrum of influences that have permeated his sound expertly teased and tantalising drawn out for the clubbers on the floor. An extremely rare performer in Liverpool, this is guaranteed evidence that for once, the scouse rave fraternity won't mind Christmas coming late.
Next in Line is of course Yousef. Revered in these parts, he has the undeniable ability to remain relevant in house music in all its forms. As Circus' main resident and co-promoter, he's managed to gift Liverpool with a night worthy of its scene, constantly pushing new talent into the city and bringing over the world's greatest and soon-to-be greatest artists. Still the daddy in this city, he's proving more important to Liverpool on this date than Turkey stews and buffets could ever claim to be.
Next up is the supremely talented James Zabiela. Like Yousef, Zabiela won the coveted Muzik Unsigned DJ award, his CD fatefully falling into the car stereo of a certain Sasha. Amazed by his breathtaking skills, James was soon warming up for the man... the rest is history. Going a year without playing solo (producing a memorable show as part of his One+One tour with Nic Fanciulli in April), his return is bound to ensure pandemonium once more.
German maestro Loco Dice also returns after a devastating performance at the fourth birthday in 2006, a set still held up in fond recollection by Circus' army of house hungry supporters. Riding on the wave of attention bestowed upon minimal music as the noughties began to take shape, Loco Dice's constructed exercises through tribal drums and stripped back techno garnered media salivation, most notably at his celebrated residency at Ibizan asylum Circo Loco. A true master, Loco Dice will continue the education of the Liverpool electronica cognoscenti.
And just to prove Circus has kept its finger firmly on the beating pulse of dance music, the inclusion of Speaker Junk indicates that their eye remains focused on the speaker shredding sounds of the grime house fusions that have bluttered out of the fidget revolution. Touted by every man and his dog to crack the big time, their booking enunciates Circus' peerless musical drive.
Circus merry band of residents Lewis Boardman, Alex Wolfenden and Will Jazz also offer up their support.
