Bankruptcy and phone contracts

Hello, I am about to declare bankruptcy and I currently have 2 mobile phone contracts for myself and my daughter in my name. I am in default with both and can no longer afford to keep up with the payments. I still have one year left on both. My question is can I include these in the bankruptcy?Thanks in advance.

Yes you can...is it a monthly contract and a handset?..if its a handset thats worth a bit iphone new samsung etc the provider may ask for the handset back depending how long you've had the contract from....either way the contacts can be added to bankrupcy no problem you'd need to find a couple of pay as you go sims though as it'll be difficult to find another mobile provider when you go bankrupt (and obvs you'll have a new number as well as you wont be able to take the one you currently have with you if cancelling the contract with bankruptcy)
