Hello everyone,
This Prolex kettle is an absolute steal at it's original price of £6.00, but for £4.00 it's even more fantastic. I recently picked up one of their 1.5l slow cookers for only £7.99.

Hope it helps somebody
Happy frugal weekend,

It odd you mention that as I was after a 'low wattage' travel type kettle but the cheapest was 12.99 in the shop. That one is 2.2Kw so not quite what I needed.
I did have a travel one before, the only problem that I had with it and had I known I'd not of brought it as it was not obvious, the mains lead was permanently attached to the kettle itself, in that it did not have a base and there was no plug to remove so in order to fill it or empty it I had to unplug it from the wall socket.
I do see (elsewhere) some that are 'cordless' with base though that are low wattage.
Yes did the maths, realise takes longer to warm up with less energy = potentially not that much saving but for me only wanting to warm up a large mug of water it was ideal.
That one you mention is very good though price wise and a reasonable brand too.0
