Foraging for fruit and nuts

This year has been a particularly successful one on the foraging front.
Our plum and balckberries have been great and we already have a substantial hoard of walnuts shelled.
I was just walking back from the shops and found some windfall cobnuts, took them home and they are the size of regular hazelnuts.
Do any of you go foraging, because it can be a wonderful way to combine walking and stocking up the larder.:)

There is a brilliant website called fallingfruit.org to help you identify places to forage. Keep clicking on the map of the UK and eventually it will zoom in on the area you want and will change from a circle containing the number of foraging spots in that area to a whole load (if you are lucky) of little red dots. Hover over these (or click on each one) and it will tell you what kind of fruit is available in that public space.0
