My sma inverter 5 year warranty ends in november, is it worth extending it or would I be better off setting aside money ?

I took out an extra 5yr warranty on my SB3800. It cost £222.00 from SMA.
I decided on the 5yr Comfort option because when my inverter fails, I want to buy one with a batteries built in and preferred to wait until technology/pricing improves.16 Sanyo Hit 250s.4kWp SMA 3.8kWp inverter. SW roof. 28° pitch. Minimal shade. Nov 2011 install. Hybrid car. Ripple Kirk Hill. N.E Lincs Coast.0
