Selling Books and CDs

Options
Hi

As the title suggests I have some books and CDs I want to get rid of and was wondering where would be best to sell them. I wanted to know if there was a way to work out, for example, which was better, music magpie or zapper or any of the others out there you can sell these items through. Would just like to know if people have any experiences of using these types of places or if there was a way to compare them all.

Ziifit pays a bit more than the others. Put COLLECT10 for extra 10%

I have used all of those. However, you may find some items are not accepted so you got to use a combination.

Also, minimum of £5 per sale.

I have literally just posted my first Zapper trade today so don't know how good the payment process is from experience (but the reviews I read of them were good). Also one with ziifit. The stuff that ziifit won't take, zapper accepted. Had to dig out a few books that were worth a bit more to make the £5 threshold.

Music magpie pays very little for most so is a struggle to raise £5 unless you have a few gems to trade in. Some books are worth a few quid. You may find most CDs and DVDs are only worth pennies to them, especially mainstream stuff. They also take technology and lego so may be worth doing if you don't want to eBay an old phone. This could help reach the minimum threshold of you struggle.

Another option is CeX if you are near one of those. There, you have the option of voucher to use with them.

For comparing, I just have all their apps installed on my phone....

I also load up their websites on my laptop for a few other searches. It's easier on the phone /tablet as you can scan the barcode but I also have a barcode scanner for my computer. If you have multiple phones, devices, you can have an app on each.

If anything you scan seems more valuable on one site (like a few £) , worth checking on another site and even eBay in case its mega rare.
