Private rental

Hi. I rent a house off a private landlord. In the living room there is a bay window. The only two opening windows are very small and are that high up I cannot even reach to open them. Do any of you know if this is illegal due to safety standards. Thank you.

    I doubt it. Have you thought of getting a small stool to stand on if you want to open the windows?
