Any idea where to buy sample-sized packs of coffee?

Have been incredibly inspired by the ideas on this forum and particularly the coffee hamper, which I'm recreating for a coffee-loving friend.

In terms of actual coffee though, I can only find fairly large, boring looking normal packets. Whittard had some cool 'hangover coffee' but firstly the delivery charge was extortionate and also it was for a coffee machine.

Does anyone know where I could find cute, sample-sized or novelty packs of coffee anywhere? Size is a bit of an issue because friend is currently living abroad.

Any ideas would be muchly appreciated!

Thanks,

Sharky

  • Sainsburys has been selling small samples of it's premium range. I bought a small bag of coffee (ground, suitable for all types of makers, cafetiers etc) for about 49p.

I bought smallish jars of flavoured coffee from here http://www.juliangraves.com/?PageID=775 for my coffee hamper might be to heavy for you to mpost though?
  • Thank you very much for both of those. There's a chance the hamper might be going in his parents' suitcase, since they're visiting him soon, in which case if its a bit heavier its not too much of a problem!

I was in Sainsbury's the other day and couldn't see anything sample-sized but maybe I'll ask when I go in again, or pop into another one.

    Many thanks again!

What about the sachets of cappuchino-type coffee that comes in boxes? You could remove the box, and just include the sachets?
  • http://www.boaters.co.uk/ does coffee cubes (flavoured coffees) for £1.49 each - and on their clearance page at the moment there is a coffee cube tower for £3.00.

You could try emailing Fairtrade and asking for samples for your staff room in school ;)

I did it last year and got sent a bag full of coffee samples (and you can donate any leftover coffee sachets to school and then your not telling fibs :D )

  • Mrs F and Meerustar - thank you, those are both great ideas. I love the coffee cubes but am outraged that the delivery is more than the cost of the product! Why do these companies charge so much??

Thanks again for all your help - I love this site!!! :D:D
