  • Hi folks and how has everyone done with their ‘Thrifty Gifty’ Christmas? Just coming to the end of mine and have been bulking up stockings and hampers with bargain buys from Poundland, Home Bargains , Wilkos The Works etc sweets, stationery, scented candles, calendars. Job well done,I think!
  • Christmas is very different as I have been unable to leave the house for months.now so used the time to relearn how to crochet. One person in my entire family is getting a present this year, the others just have to grateful for my company!

I'll be glad when this year is over - and I think I better start planning next year's thrifty gifty Christmas a lot earlier.:rotfl:

I got the recipe from this website last year, and it was a big hit with family, friends and colleagues: https://www.worldofchillies.com/offsiteclub/chilli-club-season-plenty/chilli-glut/chilli-jam-sauce-jelly.html#4

Nicked! Thanks for that, I love chilli jam but it's not easy finding some that isn't either over-sweet or includes bell peppers.

It seems that people expect shoddily packed gifts to be of equal quality, so are pleasantly surprised with the contents when they exceed these expectations. Reverse psychology at its finest :D
