Developed Vetting & past bankruptcy

Anyone out there gone through Developed vetting for government roles or could advise on it?

I have a question, I was discharged from Bankruptcy fifteen years ago,( was related to running a company as a sole trader, it was personal insolvency, wasn't a limited liability company, )

Presumably, this will exclude me from getting clearance even If I'm honest about it, I know they say things such as this, criminal records, drug history etc are treated on a "case by case basis" I'm just not sure I believe them, it could be just lip service, Any advice or guidance appreciated.

Unless this is a financial management role - or you have a CIFAS marker on your file for fraud then I wouldn't worry too much about it. - BR is not a criminal offence.
If they ask if you 'are BR' then the answer you give is no - if they ask 'have you ever been BR' then the answer is yes.

I'v had a BR and was passed for DV for access to RAF IT systems.

So long as you are honest, it shouldnt be a problem.

To be fair, they were more concerned about if my mother had any boyfriends since my Dad died 10 years ago!

As above, it's all about being honest. It's mainly to see if there's anything in your life/past that could be used against you or be used to bribe/blackmail you with
