Council tax reband fob off ?

Hi , my daughter bought her first home just over a year ago , she lives in a 2 bedroom mid town house,(she is the middle of three houses) the two houses each side are 2 bed semi detached. These 3 houses are the only 2 beds houses on the street, and my daughters the only mid terraced, the rest are all 3 beds, but they are all in the same tax band . My daughter got intouch with the valuation dept to explain this, and said that some houses exactly the same build style as hers , about half a mile away are in the lower tax band . However she was told that nothing could be done ,and any comparisons must be with properties the same age as hers. Is this right , nothing can be done . Thanks.

As it's outside of the 6 month period for a valid banding appeal then all that could be done was to ask the VOA. If they said no, as here, there is no ability to make a formal appeal against their decision.

Because of the difference between the lower and upper limits of a CT band it is posible for 2 and 3 bed houses to be in the same band
