Ive been discharged from bankruptcy on 16th Nov 2007.
Is the list of undischarged accounts the same for discharged?
Ive had a form stating that im discharged but what exactly does that mean? Is the slate as it were wiped clean? Obviously if i won the lottery tomorrow i expect id have to pay monies back?
Anyone help?
Cheers in advance

The slate isn't wiped clean - all your previous missed/late payments etc remain on your credit records.0

The discharge letter means that the OR has concluded his/her investigations, any restrictions imposed during BR are now over, BUT the BR as connor helpfully as ever states will stay on your credit files for a maximum of 6 years making credit a little difficult to obtain, although it is out there but usually at sky high rates of interest. It would be worth checking your credit files & making sure everything is as it should be (easy to tidy up if information is incorrect)
Have a read of a sticky here

And congrats on the discharge

Depends...some banks will consider some will turn you flat down, if you have a current basic bank account its sometimes worth asking if this can be "upgraded" the banks may insist on you keeping a good account history for a few months before they will even consider an account upgrade. Until the BR drops off your credit files you'll be pretty stuck with what you can find reallyWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0
