Hi guys
After my first posting yesterday I have been busy! I have now paid payments to close 3 high interest accounts AND sent letters to close them formally. In the post box at lunchtime! I was able to do this from savings which as we all know is a better use of my money.
Following this my monthly budget already looks better! I have even budgeted for nights out in that too.
I am setting myself a grocery shopping target for next month as I get paid again before I need to do the Xmas food shop. It was at £85 a week ( ) but NEED to get it down. Trying for £70 per week to start with!
Also tracking my daily spend and planning to try and manage on cash all week next week - £10???
Have switched gas/electric today saving about £15 per month!
Car and house insurance pretty low already.
Trying to contact Dell Financial Services to pay off my laptop credit agreement but CAN'T GET THROUGH  .
Low spending weekend planned with NO TRIPS TO THE SHOPS.
Putting more stuff on E-bay - shoes I have either never worn or worn once! The shame of it
I get marketing e-mails from lots of clothes shops (Next, Oasis, M&S etc) and now I am deleting them WITHOUT READING THEM!
Have a great weekend. Love LizT x

Hi Liz,
Hypno use to start a 'What DFW thing have you done today thread?' every day although I think she's been busy.
Well done on your long list!
Anyway since you've started it here's mines for today:
Put two loads of washing on and hung outside to dry. So no washing needing done this weekend. :T
Posted off Ebay item sold last night. (Well my kind mother did.)
Went to Tescos and...
Used £5.50 in coupons.
Used a few of my extra point coupons.
Swaped one of my well used complete with holes bag for life carrier bag for a new one.
Got two till receipts with a measly 3 points added at customer services.
Found a till receipt with points.
Found a 5p off/ltr of petrol receipt.
Got a pantene shampoo & conditioner sample with £1 off coupon in the mail.
Will do my piggy clicks later.
My not so DFW thing? I lost a lump of butter I had just brought - just realised as I unpacked my shopping at home.
Also got a small selection of Cafe Direct samples in the mail at my mums house. Will put the coffee and hot chocolate sachet into my DH's Xmas hamper.Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)
Boots points: £0.28
Pigsback points: 715 (4 xBoots£10 & 1 xPizzaHut£10, 2 x £10 clothing vouchers)
Mutual points: 3417 (redeemed 8250)
Rpoints:redeemed 28925 points)Cashbag:£8.91(£20)0 -
Well done you! Just as I finished posting a new e-mail came to tempt me from Oasis - deleted! Need to unsubscribe now too.
Got my Tesco vouchers the other day - just need to turn them into something useful now. I still can't get over how much more you get by using them outside the store! We haven't paid to rent a DVD for ages.
Might get a mag subscription this time - stop me from buying the darned things. That was such a great tip from Martin.
Washing and ironing still to do for me - still at least it keeps me off the high street! Why don't you join the Boots grabbit thread? So many bargains to be had but you don't need to spend much at all.
Join Pigsback too. Points = vouchers and so many other things so you can treat yourself without spending cash.
That gives me my shopping fix!Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)

I ran out of cheese today, and instead of nipping to Asda for some more and goodness knows what else, I dug a block out of the freezer (it was the last block from one of those three for the price of two thingy's, so all used up now).0

I use pigsback, build up my points for cd vouchers. Ace.
I know it isn't a huge thing but instead of buying a pre-packed sandwich for like £2.50 for my lunch in asda today I went-a-wandering to the counters and got 4 chicken spring rolls and some dipping sauce for £1.38! I know I could make my own lunch but I'm way too lazy!
I've also decided to have a night in on my 'friday night' so have probably saved myself about £25 in drinks....for a few days at least!
