overpaying santander mortgage

I have a santander mortgage.I have been making over payments on a weekly basics .
Each overpayment has reduced the mortgage and the next monthly payment .
On Thursday I made another payment that is showing as overpayment balance and hasnt reduced the mortgage.
i am not tied to a deal and can make overpayments with no limit .
Anyone know why it would show overpayment balance rather than reduce the capital?

If I overpay my Santander mortgage as soon as the money's cleared it shows overpayment balance then a day or two later once they've crunched the numbers the capitals changed, keep an eye on it next week0
