Has anybody had any problems with the payment screen (HSBC) for Halfcost over the past few days? I've tried on different computers, and with different cards (which I know have money available and are accepted by Halfcost).

I keep getting "A system problem occured while processing your order. Please try again" and wondered if anyone else was getting the same.

Halfcost say no (but then probably say that their site never crashes too!)

Hi Roxter,

I use this site all the time and had a similar problem, this said it was two months ago but the problem could still be there. I entered 'instructions' in the name field in the delivery address. For example I think I typed FAO John Smith on behalf of Pat Mustard and that caused "A system problem occurred while processing your order. Please try again". I was told that this happened as the Halfcost system was checking the delivery name against the card holder. Because of the difference in names I got an error.
If you have a different name in the delivery name field to that on your payment card I woudl guess that this may be your problem. If not then I don't know.

If you still have no joy, then I would suggest sending an e-mail description of your problem to the person you spoke to on their cust service team.
