still not doing well on the survey front but an NSD today and almost one yesterday except DH spent 30p on chocolate. We're now going meat free two days a week from this week onwards so really hoping to see savings to the food bill because of it.0 -
Unfortunately we ve now only £25 left of the food budget this month which is going to be very difficult to manage, been making meal plans and trying to stick to vegetarian dinners two nights a week and having no meat at all in my lunches anymore so feeling quite deflated about it.
Really having to keep on top of the washing to get through the week with enough clothes when it's cold for work but at least managing to resist the temptation of buying clothes.
Got our haircuts booked later, we happened to book them straight after each other without mentioning it so at least we re saving on petrol and parking by only going once.0 -
I'd forgotten a few bits on the food shop so definitely won't manage that budget this month, going to need a new soa for october to include the car insurance and will have to change in 2020 again to cover the home insurance which having some knowledge due to my job, i want to switch to a more reputable provider so know that will cost too much.
On the plus side saved £3 yesterday as the new parking system broke where we usually use so ended up being let off for it and avoided buying clothes in primark. Hoping to get through some studying and chores before doing a load of surveys later this afternoon.0 -
unfortunately, the food budget situation isn't getting any better, I didn't pre make anything for DH's lunches for the week like I normally do so he's been buying lunch out. So on sunday, i m going to make something for both of us at least for half the week as at the moment it looks like we're barely coming in on budget for the month if we're lucky.0

DH got some bonus this month so in total have paid £500 off credit card with our wages and a bit more from savings, we'd dipped into our emergency fund last month otherwise it would have been more.
Hoping next month to do more than £500 towards it as I'd love to be in the situation where we pay off my credit card by 2020 but that's a big if.
Trying to do more survey's this weekend so that next month I can put more against the credit card from that (got less than £20 on surveys this month) As we went over on food but slightly under in other areas it looks like we might end the month £20 under budget which isn't much, however I'm tweaking the SOA for next month with the car insurance needing paying so our outgoings will go up so will want to be stricter on food and other things.
It's our anniversary in october but this year i m going to use 2 for 1 on meals and our free cinema tickets on a weeknight so it should hopefully be a much cheaper evening out.0
