I can't stand mattress toppers; they make the bed unbearably soft (which is s bad thing) and far too hot (which is even worse,). We had our first mattress for 25 years our current one is 16 years old and still in its prime!#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660

I think the reason I am finding the bed less than comfortable is because in the winter I have another duvet under the bottom sheet, which makes it more luxurious-feeling and evens out any inconsistencies. Should I go for a memory foam one or goose/etc.?
