help to buy isa

Me and my partner are looking at opening a help to buy ISA - I know we can both open one.
When it comes to buying a house, my partner has a full time wage and I am currently a student. Would I be able to use my help to buy towards the deposit despite my lack of income and lack of credit history?
Thanks in advance.

you can use the help to buy but you can't use it to help with a deposit. a lot of people have been stung by this, you get the money after you have exchanged so you need to have all the deposit money upfront.0
