Time to get my head out of the sand before I get buried fully

Still not feeling great between the nausea and dizziness so haven't left the house today, has meant we had a No spend day though which is a plus. My mam brought a load of slimming world spag Bol so we had that for tea and 2 portions left to go in the freezer. She also bought us a new carbon dioxide alarm as ours had stopped working a few weeks ago from her workplace, I offered her the money but she refused. We're very lucky that my family and DH's nan are very generous with us.
Spoke with DH about the sky, he phoned as we'd had an offer on it from a discount card he gets from work for £17 and he was told at the time that there was no end date for the offer but apparently that's not the case and that's why it's now £32. They offered to knock it down to £24 but that's only the entertainment package and box sets and for the amount we use it it's still too much so we cancelled. My best friend let's us use her Netflix for free and she comes down for food once a week as 'payment' so we should be fine with just that. At least that's an extra £30 towards the debt a month.
DH also had his payslip through and gets paid next Friday. He did quite a bit of overtime so has a pretty good pay so we have about £300 spare for savings and CC overpayment.0 -
