:wall: = me and the way i feel at the moment
Ive been trying to come to terms with what is happening in our lives at the moment and its not good
We have a loan
We have credit card
We have a morgage
We have council tax errears
We have an overdraft
etc etc
and the payments are proving just to much for us
i spent most of yesturday on the phone to various people - and it has been decided that maybe an IVA is the way to go for us
The first thing to do was to change bank accounts because as soon as money was comming in it was being swollowed - now this has 90% been done i feel a "wee" bit more in control
I really need some ideas, some motivation, inspiration etc so that i feel more :j than :wall:

Hi and welcome to mse, the first thing you need to do is to read through the newbie sticky at the top of the forum and post a soa, that way we can have a look at your incomings and outgoings and advise you where you can cut back.
I would also suggest having a look at people's diaries, they are very inspirational, to name a few that I read religiously are Hypno, Pania, SouthernScouser. Plus also have a look at joining in on some challenges.
Good luck and I look forward to helping you with your soa

Have a look on the sticky at the top of this board and put together a SOA and post it here for the good folks to view and give you some pointers. The council tax arrears are your priority. So take awhile grab a cuppa, you have taken the firsdt and boldest step, as martin says nothing is impossible and we will all chip in to help you out
Remember to put the APR's up against your loans/credit cards[strike]Debt @ LBM 04/07 £14,804[/strike]01/08 [strike]£10,472[/strike]now debt free:j

Hi
As long as the people you have been speaking to are CAB or Payplan or CCCS or the like that is fine. If they are private companies who are going to profit from your position I would contact the above and make sure that it is the best course of action.
Good luck. Make sure you have a budget in place and stick to it, get loads of advice from this site and keep posting. Whatever happens there will be someone on her who has done it or dealt with it before.
Once the money starts being under control you will automatically start feeling the difference, its the beginning that is the hardest bit as you are facing everything properly for the first time.0 -
Welcome to MSE. We are here to help so will look forward to your SOA
ChevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
