Dressings for thin skin

Can somebody recommend breathable dressings suitable for wounds constantly suffered on my. arms? My skin is so thin (due to certain medications I'm on) that I just have to brush against something to tear the skin and open up a wound.
I use steri strips to close the wounds but have been finding it difficult to get plasters to cover and protect the wound whilst it heals that don't pull the skin off when I remove them.

Rather than sticky things, might it be better to use non-adhesive dressing pads then a bandage to keep it in place? You wouldn't have to use a full bandage, just enough to secure it, or maybe a tubular bandage?0

I suggest you go and ask your health carer or at the local chemist such as Boots or similar.
Also ask if someone is free to dress it for you.

Oh, I've tried that believe me - unfortunately, bandages just don't do the job, I can't keep it dry in the shower, it's impossible to keep a pad stationary whilst trying to get a bandage over it - not to mention trying to secure it with one hand!0 -
